Aloha!

So we just got back (a week ago) from the greatest vacation ever! We were able to go to Hawaii and take the family (except Alisha and Braeden-sorry guys!) We had the greatest time and it was so nice to be able to relax and not worry about all the things at home - especially for Rick. He needed this vacation bad. We did some snorkling, hiking, sight seeing, shopping and of course hanging out at the beach. Our condo was right across the street from McDonalds and needless to say, we ate there a couple of times and discovered that they have coconut pies, "Haupia pies", that were so yummy! We went there for dessert a few more times than we probably should have, but we were on vacation right?! Travis said," its a good thing we don't live by a McDonalds at home." We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC) two days in row - it is a great place to see and understand what the different Polynesian cultures do. There are 6 villages to go around and see. At each village they have mini shows and activities to do. We had a great dinner, although we now wish we would have done the luau dinner instead of the one we did. After dinner was the night show -- it was awsome! A very fun place if you ever get the chance to go! We attended the Kahala Ward for 2 weeks, and met some really nice people. It is great to know that the gospel is the same where ever you go. It was hard to get on the airplane to come home.
