Pumpkin carving and more hunting trips

Monday night we carved our pumpkins and Miracle (our dog) even got in on the action (and the only time she will be allowed on the table!) She was eating the pumpkin as we were cleaning them out. I guess that was her Halloween treat. We had a great time - I think the hardest part was trying to figure out what we wanted to do with our pumpkins. Below are the end results!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

NIKKI'S PUMPKIN
RICK'S PUMPKIN
NATHAN'S PUMPKIN
TRAVIS'S PUMPKIN

MORE HUNTING TRIPS

This last weekend was another little hunting trip for Rick and Nikki went with him. They left Friday morning and got home Sunday morning, just in time for Church. It was not a successful trip - they didn't see any deer and it was cold! But a great bonding time for the two of them.

Two weekends ago, Rick went hunting and took Travis and Nathan. No luck on that trip either and no pictures! I guess the only one left to go on a hunting trip with him is ME. Don't know if that will happen - its getting a little to cold for me to go camping!

A super Fireside!

Last night we went to the greatest fireside. It was "Gladys Knight and her Saints Unified Voices". They had been invited to come to by the Seattle Stake and all surrounding stakes were invited. They did 4 firesides, two on Saturday night and two on Sunday night. We went to the 8:00 pm fireside and had to wait in line, which went around the entire church building. I didn't think they were going to be able to fit that many people into the building, but they did. It ended up being a very late night.
The music was great, (not your standard church choir music) and Gladys did sing a couple of songs by herself. The testimonies given by her and her husband and others were awsome. The spirit was strong and it was a great missionary opportunity - many non members were in attendance. We dragged the kids along (they didn't want to go) but on our way home I asked them what they thought and they said it was good. If you ever get a chance to go see Gladys Knight and her Choir -- do it!!

Fall Decorations

I have seen so many cute fall decorations on blogs lately that I just had to be a copy cat and try some. Above is my pumpkin on a pedestal, I was going to paint it white and stencil it with a black design, but decided that just plain orange looked better with what I had it by.
Below are some cute little pumpkins that I made out of pill bottles. I think they turned out so cute - the idea was to make them out of a roll of toilet paper, but I wanted small ones. And no glue was used at all. So cute!!

Here is a picture of my ottoman tray that I made out of a picture frame (found at DI for cheap). And Travis's green cup made a great candy dish for my candy corns, I just added the black bow.

And look at my BOO picture. The frame I found at Dollar Tree, spray painted it black, and printed off the word BOO on the computer and inserted into the frame! Easy, cute and cheap!!

I also found that tall wire basket (made for a wine bottle probably) at DI and just bought some small gords and pumkins to fill it.

I hope you have enjoy seeing my "new" fall decorations - I had fun making them.
